“Incredibly impressive” – Stephen Fry
At last we can present to you the result of many months’ tireless work, to change education for the better. Quesco.
This unrivalled app provides a service which allows teachers to teach without typical unbidden distractions, and students to engage thoroughly with the material so that they will be able learn more than ever before, faster than ever before. It can be difficult for every student in the classroom to see the teacher’s presentation on the whiteboard. Since Quesco’s appearance, this is no longer an issue. Students will be able to view the lesson’s documents on their own iPad which can then be annotated as desired, giving a more personal learning experience which can facilitate speed of learning for those at a different rate to the class. The teacher also has the option to attach notes to each slide so that students who cannot hear as well as others or who are at the back of the classroom can still receive the information. The Greatest Revolution in Education will come, and it starts here, with Quesco.
So what exactly is Quesco?
We like to think of Quesco as a mixture of Skype and Keynote. You can draw to your heart’s content and share those drawings across to the other side of the world in seconds. There is also a built-in feature which allows you to import Keynotes, PowerPoints, PDFs, Images and more so that you can annotate on them and make general notes.
Who is this aimed at?
Schools, colleges, universities – anywhere where iPads are available to use to change education for the better.
How much does Quesco cost?
Zilch. It is a completely free download on the App Store, although you will have to pay £3.99 inside the app if you wish to unlock the collaborative working features (i.e. the sharing and downloading of workbooks).
Sharing Workbooks
Quesco is interactive and allows teachers to upload their own workbooks to the cloud for students to then download*. There is an option for teachers to create workbooks from existing Keynotes and PowerPoints too. Downloading a workbook is simple. Teachers can then see what their students are doing in their new workbook at one tap of a button.
Clever Annotation
It’s annotation like never before. You can now tag images with annotations in a different view – away from your main work. It’s always available and you can access it then go back to your original work at any time. The best way to learn more about this feature is to see it in action because we believe that this has never been done in an educational app before!
Importing Keynotes
Quesco makes it easy for both teachers and students to import existing Keynotes and PowerPoints at the tap of a button. With this feature, you can combine a standard keynote with collaborative sharing, clever annotation and retina-display-ready drawing. You can now also share your workbook as a PDF, send it to Dropbox or Evernote or email it.
